Dr. Adam Ainspan, originally from Albany, NY, graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He completed an internship in companion animal medicine and surgery at The Pittsford Animal Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Susan S. Christopher
DVM
Dr. Susan Christopher, originally from Signal Mountain, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced companion animal medicine and surgery in Virginia and New York. Her patients included Spot, Willie, and Barney of White House fame.
Jay H. Margolis
DVM
Dr. Jay Margolis graduated from the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He completed an internship in companion animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Megan Murphy
DVM
Dr. Megan Murphy is a graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine with an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. After veterinary school she continued to advance her education by completing a rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.
Samantha Goodridge

Dr. Samantha Goodridge earned her undergraduate degree from Boston University and veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Originally from Arlington, VA, Dr. Goodridge moved back to Northern Virginia after vet school to be closer to family. She has been with Companion Animal Clinic since June of 2020. Her interests include dermatology, surgery, and geriatric medicine.
Kimberly McGrath
DVM
Dr. Kimberly McGrath is originally from Fairfax, Virginia. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia.
While in veterinary school, she was an active volunteer with the school’s pet loss support hotline and was awarded several scholarships, including the Richard S. Hawe Quest for Excellence in Small Animal Medicine Award. After graduating, she completed a rigorous one-year internship in emergency and specialty medicine. She has special interests in the human-animal bond and internal medicine.
Dr. McGrath lives in Arlington with her husband. Their current pack of animals includes two small dogs and two horses. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, running, and traveling.
Lindsay Longerbeam

Lindsay Longerbeam is Companion’s Kennel Manager, overseeing the boarding operation and our kennel staff. She started at Companion in 2002 as a kennel assistant and took over as Kennel Manager “about ten years ago” – according to her.
Cindy Weller
Groomer
Cindy Weller has been a groomer since 1994, starting first at Centreville Square Animal Hospital, then adding Chantilly Animal Hospital to her schedule before finally adding Companion when this clinic was purchased.
