Dr. Jay Margolis graduated from the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He completed an internship in companion animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Margolis practiced companion animal medicine and surgery in Pennsylvania until joining the Northern Virginia Veterinary Associates (Centreville Square Animal Hospital) in 1992. He is a partner in the Chantilly Animal Hospital, Companion Animal Clinic-Fairfax Station, Falls Church Animal Hospital, Linden Heights Animal Hospital and Hudson Veterinary Hospital – Ossining, NY.
Dr. Margolis is the current President of the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and is a member and past President of the Northern Virginia Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Margolis is also the past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hope Center for Advanced Veterinary Medicine.
When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, 2 daughters and their dogs, Sophie and Connor. He enjoys golf and scuba diving. He also enjoys the keeping and maintaining of tropical and marine aquariums.
Dr. Margolis has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes mellitus.
